On Sunday, Canadian rapper Drake lost a $1,000,000 wager he had made on Argentina defeating France in under 90 minutes.
Prior to the contest, Drake had predicted that Argentina’s La Albeceliste would prevail. However, the rapper lost his money as a result of the betting site’s regulations.
According to FoxNews, Drake “bet in a market where extra time is not taken into account and the outcome is judged based on the score after 90 minutes of play.”
After an exciting 2-2 draw after 90 minutes, both teams scored once more in overtime to force a penalty shootout, which Argentina won 4-2 to claim the championship.
Drake had bet on Israel Adesanya, the last stylebender, to defeat Alex Pereira, but had lost $2 million Canadian dollars in November.
