Despite President Muhammadu Buhari’s consent, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) announced and began issuing redesigned naira notes; however, a viral video has emerged online depicting the moment a Lagos bus operator refused to accept the new naira note.
The woman who had gotten on the commercial bus handed the bus conductor some recently revised naira notes, which he declined out of concern that he may be duped.
The man demanded that the woman give him the old one he is familiar with or get off his bus since, in his words, he hasn’t recognized the money yet and can’t collect it.
The bus’s other passengers intervened and pushed the conductor to gather the money since it was already in use.
He eventually took the money from the woman and left to speak with his other coworkers about the note’s veracity.
