In order to avoid interfering with the upcoming administration, Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has committed to relocate on May 29, 2023, after handing over to his successor.
The governor stated that he is confident Senator Uba Sani will succeed him, but he added that he will have no involvement “in the running of the next All Progressives Congress(APC) government.”
El-Rufai claimed to have known the senator for more than 20 years and that Sani had established his political mettle during a town hall meeting held on Monday by the Central Senatorial Zone.
He cautioned the residents of Kaduna State not to bombard him with requests for contracts or appointments from Uba Sani after he is elected governor.
Senator Uba Sani, according to El Rufai, will lead Kaduna state to greater heights if elected governor.
In his statements, Sani claimed that for the previous 20 years, he had attended “Malam Nasir El-School Rufai’s of Government and Policy” and that he had graduated with multiple “degrees” as a result.
The senator thanked the governor for reorganizing governance in Kaduna state and pledged to uphold the policies and programs of the El Rufai administration.
Uba Sani, who asserted that the government cannot pay education solely, urged affluent people to sponsor deserving but impoverished students attending academic institutions.
He claims that he recently provided scholarships to 280 students at Kaduna state’s higher education institutions so they could continue their studies.
