They have received an incredible 1.7 million likes on the social media app. Sunday night, Davido took the stage in Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup closing ceremony. Before his performance, the award-winning artist shared photos on Instagram of himself and his girlfriend, Chioma, who can be seen in some of the posts preparing her man.
Davido’s son Ifeanyi passed away in October, and this post was his first public social media appearance since then. Since the event, the couple has avoided social media, but when he returned, millions of followers from all over the world flocked to like their photos.
Over 1.7 million people have liked the photos, and over 230,000 people have commented on them, making them the most popular photos ever posted on Instagram in Nigeria.
Davido shared the globe stage with Aisha, Ozun, and GIMS, three other international performers.
