Daystar Peterson, better known by his stage name Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper and vocalist, was found guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion, an American rapper, and fellow performer.
After a violent debate about their personal relationships and professional accomplishments in 2020, it was claimed that Tory shot Megan Thee Stallion in the feet.
A Los Angeles jury convicted the rapper guilty on Friday, December 23rd, of counts including assault with a handgun, careless discharge of a firearm, and keeping a concealed, unlicensed gun in a moving vehicle.
Megan Thee Stallion, Kelsey Harris, and Tory Lanez had all testified during the trial, which had started on December 12th, although Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Harris had not. As of right now, Tory Lanez is in detention and will be sentenced on January 27.
