The sorrowful memoir that was written by the children of a 66-year-old Nigerian man has received a range of responses.
On the Facebook page Rant HQ Extention, Samuel Strong posted a link to the biography and made the caustic remark that they had already laid him to rest.
Although nobody is flawless, the man’s children claimed that dad didn’t leave them anything. The biography’s author acknowledged regrets over having him as a father when she was a child.
They criticized the deceased for being kind to strangers but disregarding his house.
“…INDEED YOU WERE SO GOOD TO OUTSIDERS BUT YOUR OWN HOME WAS A TOTAL SHAMBLE. AS A GROWING CHILD, I REGRETTED HAVING YOU AS A FATHER, BUT TODAY, LOOK AT ME, STANDING TO LAY YOU DOWN TO REST,” AN EXCERPT OF THE BIOGRAPHY’S PREAMBLE READS.
“If it will please God to make me die at old age, may my children not describe me the way this man’s children described him. “May my children celebrate my fatherhood both in my lifetime and upon my death.”
