TAMPAN Summons Nollywood Actor for Assaulting Female
The Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has summoned actor Shoneye Olamilekan, also known as Papa Show, to appear before its disciplinary committee due to his physical assault on fellow actress Temidayo Morakinyo.
Earlier, Morakinyo took to social media to expose Papa Show for physically assaulting her while on a movie set. She narrated the incident on her Instagram story, explaining how the actor unexpectedly appeared on the set in Ibadan, Oyo State, and violently attacked her.
Accompanied by photos showing her injured lips, Morakinyo revealed that the assault occurred after she reported Papa Show’s disruptive behavior to her superiors on Thursday.
In response to the allegations, TAMPAN announced that Papa Show’s membership has been temporarily suspended while they conduct their investigation.
A statement released on TAMPAN’s Instagram page on Saturday stated:
Most times, delicate matter like like this are usually handled within and will be reported to the public after all necessary due process according to our constitution.
“We have invited him to face the disciplinary committee, and his membership has been placed on hold. Once again, we express our utmost displeasure toward this event.
“Shoneye Olamilekan has received an official summons letter, and appropriate actions will be taken accordingly.”
