Religious leaders frequently touch the heads of their followers while praying for them. Timi Dakolo, a singer, opposes this and has counseled his supporters and admirers to refuse to have their heads touched.
He cautioned his fans and followers not to let anyone touch their children’s heads in the name of prayer, even if they had previously let religious leaders touch their own heads.
Timi believes that since the head represents authority, touching someone’s head could cause problems.
Therefore, he recommended people to refrain from letting anyone place their hands on their heads or their children’s heads in the name of prayer.
In his words,
“It is extremely important that you don’t let any and everybody lay their hand on your head in the name of prayers. If you have been careless in the past, make sure it doesn’t happen to your children”.
